The meeting is from 6.30 pm to around 8.30 pm. Meetings alternate weekly - one week is the celebration of tsog 'khorlo and the next week is a meditation and study group.

Tsog 'Khorlo (Gana Puja):
This is a practice of celebration, renewal and sharing. Practitioners come together to share food and enjoy each others company, and practice the seed syllable tsog 'khorlo. Through this practice we let go of disagreements and interpersonal problems, renew any commitments that we hold, reassert our intention to be kind and honourable human beings, and celebrate the cheerful company of others. Everything and everybody everywhere benefits from tsog 'khorlo practice. To attend the practice of tsog 'khorlo it is necessary to partake of a tiny piece of meat and half a teaspoon of alcohol - this is an essential aspect of the practice. Even monks and nuns, vegetarians and tee totallers celebrating tsog 'khorlo ingest this token of meat and alcohol to represent overcoming the pure/impure dichotomy. Please bring food to share.

Study Group:
The meetings begin and end with a short period of yogic song and meditation, with the study of a Buddhist book taking up the main part of the session.

Please telephone for further information: 07092 010756 or email

There is no charge for the meetings, although some people like to make a donation.

The Aro Cardiff Buddhist Group was founded in 1983.
