There are plenty of things to do in Cardiff this half term and with Halloween approaching events will have a spooky theme

Contact the library for more details on 029 2061 3182.

Cardiff Central Library will host a ‘Halloween Hocus Pocus’ event on Thursday, October 29 at 2pm for children aged five and over. Come and enjoy spooky stories, crafts and games.  The event is free to attend and will last an hour. Please call the Children’s Department on 029 2078 0953 to book a place

Cardiff Bay Visitor Centre (CBVC) will also  play host to a special pirate themed day on Tuesday October 27. CBVC has teamed up with Craft in the Bay to run creative sessions. Children can create their own characters and If they are feeling particularly adventurous they can even create an entire 3D pirate story making parrots, palm trees, treasure chests and even galleons!

If the sun is shining there are plenty of parks in Cardiff for families to enjoy.  Bute Park, Roath Park, Victoria Park and Grange Gardens have all been awarded Green flags making them a perfect budget busting option on a sunny day.

Executive Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure, Cllr Nigel Howells said: “Keeping children entertained during half term can be very hard, this is why we have put together a programme of events for families to enjoy.  There is plenty going on in the city this half term and best of all it’s all for free.”
