  Waterfront Action in Cardiff Bay
Families from across the UK are returning to Cardiff again this year for one of the most popular events in the Bay. The Cardiff Outdoor Action Show is a FREE two day event to be held in the Inner Harbour, with retailers, demonstrations and adrenalin fuelled action both on and off the water!

Last summer over 20,000 people attended the successful water sport festival, which offers visitors the opportunity to come and try a variety of water sports in a safe and fun-filled environment.  Children from aged three upwards can try out canoeing and paddle sports in a specially-built canoe pool in the heart of Roald Dahl Plass.

Adults and children aged eight upwards can also try canoeing and sailing in the beautiful 200 hectare lake that is Cardiff Bay.  Attending the event is FREE, with a small charge for ‘Come & Try It’ water activities. This year’s event will be even bigger and better, including exhibitions and exciting competitions across both days.

The event is hosted by Cardiff Harbour Authority and partners, with instructors on hand from Cardiff Bay Water Activity Centre, offering a host of courses throughout the year. These range from indoor climbing to windsurfing, mountain biking to sailing – everything you need for a family adventure. For more details visit: www.adventurecardiff.com.

Nigel Howells, Executive Member of Sports, Leisure and Culture concluded, “Cardiff is rapidly gaining a strong reputation for excellence in both water sports and outdoor activities. The Outdoor Action Show is a wonderful way for families to discover what is on offer and make the most of the opportunities with Adventure Cardiff in Cardiff Bay.”
